He is a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (Level 1-C). He is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications at the Universidade Federal do Pará. He serves as General Coordinator of the INCT IAmazônia — National Institute of Science and Technology in Artificial Intelligence applied to smart and sustainable cities in the Brazilian Amazon — funded by CNPq, CAPES, and State Research Foundations (FAPs). He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the MCTI/FAPES/CGI.br CPA project: IARA – Artificial Intelligence Recreating Environments, an initiative supported by MCTI, FAPES, and CGI.br. Currently, he serves as Technical Director of Fundação Guamá, the managing entity of the Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia Guamá (PCT Guamá).

She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Applied Computing, from the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE) at the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA). She is currently undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Technology at UFPA. She is a faculty member at the Faculty of Computing, Castanhal Campus, at the Universidade Federal do Pará. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (2015) and her Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (2016), both from UFPA. She is a member of the coordination committee of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory applied to Smart Cities (LabCity/UFPA), where her primary areas of expertise include Artificial Intelligence, Smart Cities, Optimization Models, Data Science, and Telecommunications Systems.

The researcher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (1994), a Master’s degree (2002), and a Ph.D. (2011) in Electrical Engineering, all from the Universidade Federal do Pará. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at INESC TEC (2015). She has experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly in the areas of telecommunications and applied computing, working on topics such as mobile networks, radio wave propagation, and computational intelligence algorithms. Currently, she is an Associate Professor III at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications at the Universidade Federal do Pará, and a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at UFPA.
