LPRAD
High Performance Networks Planning Laboratory
Linked to PPGEE/UFPA, it constituted the first state-of-the-art laboratory in telecommunications network technologies in the Amazon region. It carried out activities related to various network technologies (backbone, access, and "last mile" - wired and wireless) from an optical network planning, aiming at evaluating and optimizing the performance of these networks.

Social Technologies Laboratory
Also linked to the Applied Computing concentration area of PPGEE/UFPA, it had an interdisciplinary and multi-institutional role, bringing together researchers and institutions of diverse profiles. It was based on the use of mathematical and computational models to solve real-world problems in areas such as energy, public health, social security, environment, education, and digital inclusion.
